The Direct Method English Course is a book that still serves as the basis of many TESL English Language books.
Many English schools and private English teachers follow the lesson structure of the Direct Method:
Question-answer exercises, readings, dictations, and the introduction of new vocabulary/grammar with a goal-oriented lesson plan.
